EMPACT FIREARMS OA 1.5 WORKSHOP

23 March 2023 - Tech 4 Tracing is pleased to have been invited by EUROPOL to participate as an institutional partner in the EMPACT Firearms platform Operational Action 1.5 on ammunition. At the Ammunition Workshop on 23 March in Lisbon, hosted by the Portuguese police, T4T provided an update on its work to develop optical character recognition (OCR) and computer vision-based technology for the automatic identification of seized and illicit ammunition. The operational action brings together EU and non-EU law enforcement experts and international and institutional partners to enhance ammunition mapping, traceability and information sharing, goals that T4T strongly supports.
